Biuro Projektów „Nafta-Gaz” Sp. z o.o. is a company with many years of design experience. The company was founded in 1960 as the Department of the Polish National Mining Company. In April, 1966, following a decision of the Minister of Mining, the Department was forwarded to the Bureau of Design of Coal Industry in Cracow later known as Bureau of Mining Research and Design. Initially the Department provided design services exclusively for the oil industry. It performed mainly designs of construction and modernization of oil and natural gas mines.
